This move frees up cap space for Seattle to potentially sign a big name (or two) in free agency.
Nurse has averaged 9.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in five WNBA seasons – three with New York from 2018-2020, one with Phoenix in 2021, and one with Seattle in 2023. She was voted as an All-Star Game starter in 2019 with the Liberty.
