Samuelson, who will turn 27 years old in June, will return to the court for the first time since 2022 after she missed the entirety of the 2023 WNBA season due to giving birth. Samuelson has plenty of basketball in front of her and is a player that can boost any team offensively, most notably with her deep-ball game.
Over her first four seasons in the WNBA after breaking into the league as the fourth-overall pick in 2019, Samuelson has taken the court with four different teams, holding career averages of 6.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists over 20.8 minutes while shooting 39.9 percent from the field and 33.9 percent from three in 101 games. The last time we saw her, with Los Angeles in 2022, Samuelson posted a career-high 9.7 points along with 3.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.0 steals in 32 games while shooting 37.3 percent from the field and a career-best 35.2 percent from deep.
It might take Samuelson some time to get adjusted to life in the WNBA again after a year off, but she is still an impactful player that should make her mark this year and beyond.
