Lindsay Allen to Sign a Two-Year Deal with Sky

Lindsay Allen has signed a two-year contract with the Chicago Sky, ending her tenure with the Minnesota Lynx, as first reported by Howard Megdal of The Next Hoops

Allen, 28, frequently started for the Lynx last season, acting as one of their plug and play guards throughout the year. Already a journeywoman despite her young age, Allen has played with the New York Liberty, who she was drafted by back in 2017, as well as signed training camp contracts with the Indiana Fever, played with the Las Vegas Aces, and finally landed with the Lynx as an off-and-on addition for the club via training camp deals and several seven-day contracts.

This past season, Allen averaged 6.2 points per game (PPG) along with 4.5 assists per game (APG) and 2.4 rebounds per game (RPG). She played in 29 games, having dealt with a hand injury partly through her 2023 campaign. For her career, Allen has averaged 4.3 PPG along with 1.6 RPG and 3.1 APG. The Sky have been relatively quiet so far this free agency, having lost one of their key guards in Courtney Williams to the Lynx already as well as losing Alanna Smith, a potential Most Improved Player candidate last year. Allen will likely provide some stability and depth to the Sky’s guard room as they seek out other candidates to fill the gap left by Williams’ departure.
