Atlanta Dream sign Allisha Gray on a three-year max deal

Allisha Gray

Following her All-WNBA First Team campaign in 2025, the Atlanta Dream re-signed star guard Allisha Gray to a three-year max deal, solidifying their championship core.

Gray is coming off a standout season, earning All-Star and All-WNBA First Team honors while also capturing a 3×3 gold medal and an Unrivaled title, a year that firmly elevated her profile across the game.

Her third year in Atlanta was a career year, averaging a career-high 18.4 points per game, while shooting 38.4 percent from behind the arc despite shooting at a high volume. Gray reached new levels of success in Atlanta after five so-so seasons in Dallas. It wasn’t a talent issue, but finding the right environment for her to succeed.

Under Karl Smesko or “Big Wheeze” as the players called him last year, Gray found the home and fit that she wanted in Atlanta. At 31, Gray has plenty left in the tank as a No. 1 or No. 2 option for a team, being able to work off-ball and battle defensively. Her ability to play at a fast pace and shoot a high volume of shots at a high percentage is extremely valuable in 2026.
