The Chicago Sky have acquired guard Jacy Sheldon from the Washington Mystics in exchange for a 2028 first-round pick, the team announced Saturday.
Sheldon, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, has spent time with Dallas, Connecticut and Washington across her first two seasons in the league. She brings a two-way presence to Chicago, averaging 6.3 points, 2.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds while shooting over 42% from the field and 35% from three.
Her most efficient stretch came with Connecticut in 2025, where she shot 47% from the field and over 41% from beyond the arc, showcasing her ability as a reliable perimeter option.
Chicago adds a young, competitive guard known for her defensive intensity and shooting ability, aligning with the team’s focus on building a versatile backcourt. Despite moving the 2028 first-round pick, the Sky still retain four first-round selections over the next three drafts.
