Kelsey Mitchell will remain with the only WNBA franchise she has ever played for, agreeing to re-sign with the Indiana Fever on a one-year, $1.4 million supermax agreement. Indiana made the signing official Saturday morning with an official new release.
Every season of her eight-year WNBA career, Mitchell has improved and as a result has earned herself three straight All-Star selections to go along with being top-five in MVP voting and as part of the All-WNBA First Team in 2025.
Mitchell has spent the entirety of her career with the Indiana Fever, enjoying a career year at the age of 29 last summer. In all 44 regular season games, Mitchell averaged 20.2 PPG, 3.4 APG, 1.8 RPG and 0.9 SPG over 31.4 MPG while shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from deep.
At the age of 30 entering her ninth WNBA season in 2026, Mitchell should return to form and continue to shine while providing her squad with an offensive lift and a solid defensive contributor. And it’s likely we will hear Mitchell’s name back in the MVP conversation once again this summer.
