Forward Satou Sabally will sign a multi-year deal with the New York Liberty, per Alexa Philippou.
Sabally was a core player for the Phoenix Mercury in 2025. It was her first year not in a Dallas Wings uniform and she proved she can be consistent anywhere. She finished the season averaging 16.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
Her talents were on full display as she helped guide the Mercury to a WNBA Finals appearance. After losing Game 1 of the semifinals against Minnesota, Sabally played a massive role in Phoenix’s bounce-back. In Game 2, she recorded 24 points, including 5 three-pointers. She makes herself a threat from every level with her ability to create shots.
Sabally earned her third All-Star nod in 2025 but was unfortunately unable to participate due to an ankle injury. While she bounced back from that injury, her season ended prematurely in Game 3 of the Finals when she suffered a concussion. Now, Sabally will join the dominance of Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones.
