Nneka Ogwumike is staying with the Los Angeles Sparks, per Khristina Williams of Girls Talk Sports TV.
Ogwumike—who will turn 33 years old in July—is a WNBA champion, former WNBA MVP, and a seven-time All-Star. She can still contribute in what will be her 12th season in 2023, offering a spark on both ends of the floor.
Ogwumike entered the WNBA in 2012 as the first overall pick out of Stanford. Since that season, she remained in Los Angeles for the entirety of her career while becoming one of the top players in the league. Over her career with the Sparks, Ogwumike has averaged 16.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 steals in 320 games.
During the 2022 campaign, Ogwumike averaged 18.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.6 steals in 34 games.
